The Arrangements Committee is responsible for identifying and securing locations for WDCEPC in-person programs and events. The Committee will undergo a due diligence process prior to finalizing a location taking into consideration: convenience, parking, room capacity, audiovisual requirements, and cost (based on program/event budget). The Committee will present prospective locations to the Board and together they will decide on a final location decision. In addition, the committee is responsible for greeting and checking in members at the event/program.

BYLAWS
The Bylaws Committee is responsible for providing counsel to the Board on governance matters, and when necessary, prepares amendments for board approval.

COMMUNICATIONS

COUNCIL ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Council Advisory Committee is made up of past Council presidents who meet from time to time to assist the Board in strategic decisions.

GOLF
The Golf Committee is responsible for organizing and running the annual golf tournament.  Committee members identify and reach out to potential sponsors and help with set-up and as needed the day of the tournament.  The Committee also works closely with the Executive Director on budget and design of the tournament and makes the introductions and announcements on the day of the tournament itself.

INCLUSION
The Inclusion Committee is responsible for continuing the work started by the DEI task force to enhance the council’s diversity and help foster a deeper sense of inclusion amongst its membership. The Committee has focused its efforts thus far on two initiatives – the Race and Wealth Speaker Series and an annual networking event

MEMBERSHIP DIVERSITY
The Membership Diversity Committee is responsible for increasing the diversity of Council membership through strengthening the representation of historically underrepresented demographics among all councilmember disciplines.  The Committee helps to expand awareness of the Council, and its membership ranks by inviting diverse professional as guests to Council meetings and events.  Current methods of attracting new members include contacting individuals directly, coordinating with professional organizations, and hosting an annual happy hour.  As a subcommittee of the Membership Committee, the Membership Diversity Committee is also part of the Council’s broader diversity initiatives including the Inclusion Committee and the Student Membership Committee.

 MEMBERSHIP NOMINATIONS
The Membership Nominations Committee is responsible for collecting and reviewing prospective member applications and making a recommendation to the Board as to whether applicants should be admitted to the Council. Once the Board makes its decision, the Co-Chairs of the Committee send the results back to the primary nominators of the applicants. This is an appointed Committee.

MEMBERSHIP RECRUITMENT
The Membership Recruitment Committee is responsible for identifying, tracking, and approaching a potential pool of candidates during each nomination cycle. The Committee develops a recruitment plan comprised of inviting guests to WDCEPC events, encouraging Council members to explore their network, and sharing our collective experiences with prospective members. Lastly, the Committee ensure prospective nominees have access to the nomination package, provide guidance on the nomination process, and serve as a resource for questions and potential next steps.

PROGRAMS
The Programs Committee is responsible for selecting and scheduling the educational content during the Council’s fiscal year.  Selection is a collaborative process between the Board, the Chairs and members of the Programs Committee, taking into consideration local and national estate planning trends and recent developments. Through education, members achieve a main Council purpose of being better equipped to serve the public.
