Climate change, inflation, wildfires and flooding, oh my! Join us for a high level overview of the reasons around property insurers shift to market abandonment, significant rate increases, capped limits and the fighting with regulators and what to expect in the years ahead.

The William M. Goldenzweig Memorial Lecture was established in 1980 in memory of William M. Goldenzweig, CLU®, who died in a plane crash during his presidency of the Council in 1979. The annual lecture focuses on an estate planning topic of particular relevance to the life insurance industry. 

Speaker Biographies:
Dana Sutton is the Flood Practice lead with NFP, An Aon Company. With more than 15 years of experience writing complex flood exposures from Maine to Florida, and over to California, Dana has become one of the top producing agents within NFP’s Personal Risk Division.Her expertise in flood risk mitigation has established her as a thought leader in the insurance industry. Dana’s mission is to change the narrative around the need for flood insurance and close the gap on uninsured flood risk thus improving resiliency and community outcomes post catastrophe.  

A Partner at NFP, Stuart Tauber has been practicing for more than 30 years, specializing in the fields of life insurance and employee benefits. Mr. Tauber has a depth of experience in counseling professionals and business owners on the proper uses and structure of life insurance products. This planning extends to basic income protection through more complex needs that include business succession, estate, charitable, and wealth replacement strategies. Since 1996, Stuart has been a qualifying and lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table, the top association for financial professionals. He was awarded The Max Wallach Leadership Award from the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Jerome Dick Leadership Award from The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, where he serves on its Board and Executive Committee.

  • Fees: No cost for active members; $60 for guests and emeritus members
  • Closest Metro: Metro Center
  • Parking is available in a variety of nearby paid lots.
  • Registration and lunch begin at 12:00 pm and the program begins at 12:20 pm.
  • Guests are warmly welcome when accompanying a member host.
  • A no show fee will be assessed to members who register but do not attend without prior cancelation.
